/sarcasm/ GREAT day at work

And it's only 10 am. 

1.  They're testing the fire alarms today until noon.  So every 10-20 minutes they start ringing and we have to sit here and endure them (but, better than evacuating a million times).

2.  A coworker just saw something JUMP into my cube under the cube wall.  He thought it was a cricket or something (we have "sprickets" here, that are crazy huge crickets that look like spiders, nasty, but harmless), and he couldn't see it anywhere in my cube. 

Can I go home yet?!?!?!?!?!

    I HATE fire alarm testing!  They only do it every couple of months here, and thankfully I have an office where I can shut the door to dampen the sound a little, at least.  Sorry you have to listen to that!

    And eww, I hate bugs too.  I hope your day gets better!!

    Want to borrow my cat? We regularly find parts of those nasty things spread all over our basement :)

    Blech on both counts. We've had several fire drills in the past weeks, what a pain.

    And I just looked up a "spricket" - commence nightmares!

    fire alarm testing is the worst! they always would tell us last minute at my last job. Don't they know we have conference calls set up already and they aren't very productive if we can't hear each other!

    I hate fire alarm testing.  They did that here a couple weeks ago when they put a fire supression system in the server room.

    Hope the bug is now visiting someone else.

    Whaaaat? I just looked up spricket... That's creepy. I would be freaking out all day feeling things crawling on me or seeing something move out of the corner of my eye.

    Oh I would love that cat right now.  And for those of you who looked up the pics, I'm guessing you jumped out of your skin.  They are NASTY creatures.  Harmless, but nasty.  And I really did come very close to going and sitting in my boss's cube for a while lol!

    My feet are NOT touching the floor today (don't you know I have open toed heels on today).  I am resting them on my hard drive tower :)
