My personal phone is just a cell phone, basic text, no data etc, but my work phone is a iPhone with all the extras. I just carry around the iPhone and have my personal phone forward calls to my work phone.
BTW, some days I wish I used a tin-can and strings, however, today being able to Facetime with DD was priceless!
Tracfone user here. I pay about $200 a year and it is fabulous.

It is like a step up from just like, a basic phone (like, it has internet capability, a keypad, etc) but doesn't have apps and stuff like a smartphone.
