21 month sleep problems - seperate rooms ?

For the past week one DS has been waking up 1-4 times a night...which as you know wakes other DS.  It only takes a few minutes to get them settled back down but it means terrible sleep for everyone in the house. We can't figure out why he's waking up. He's not teething, he's not hungry/thristy.  I am very close to putting them in seperate rooms to see if it helps.  I hesitate because they like playing with each other before they go to bed and in the morning.  Lucky for us they are still in cribs.  My other worry is that seperate rooms might encourage them to climb out of their cribs to find someone to play with.

My question is:  if your twins sleep in sepearate rooms when did you seperate them and how did it go?

  • I didn't separate mine, but we did have quite a few issues with them waking up at night around that age.  For mine, it was separation anxiety.  If that's the case with yours, separating may not eliminate them waking up at night.
