Anyone find out sex at NT scan (and then confirmed)?

With DS (now 1 year old), they guessed girl and she was not very sure at all. I posted on ingender.com because I am impatient and they all guessed boy, and were right!

With this LO, this tech was so certain and told us she was only wrong once (and wasn't even certain that time due to position). She guessed boy! I'm so happy the NT Scan went well, and blessed to have a healthy baby, but part of me wanted a daughter someday (this will be our last). I know that part will pass soon, and starting to get very excited at the thought of two brothers so close in age. I'm just wondering if any techs (that said they were so sure) were actually wrong.

They told us boy at our NT scan, but then said girl at our 20 week A/S. The tech at the A/S said she is positive it is a girl.

Our tech guessed girl at the NT scan and it was confirmed 100% at the AS.

i was told girls at NT with my first two ,, and girls at a/s.. then at weeks 36 and 38.. i was told boys.. and it was THE SAME TECHS! and i have two wonderful DS.. sooo im nervous this time around...i hope i get a girl this time.. but either way im hapy as long as my LO is healthy!

Yep - told boy at NT, confirmed at A/S (and again at an extra u/s at 24 weeks because of a lot of Braxton Hicks).

ETA: the tech at the NT told us she was 90% sure.

I should be able to tell you tonight!! Tech guessed a boy at the NT and we're having an elective this evening to find out "for sure". Based on the angle of things at 12 weeks I'd be very surprised if we were told anything different today.

From everything I've heard and read, it's much more rare to get it wrong if the guess is boy - though based on some of the stories here it's very possible!

At my dating ultrasound (I was 13 weeks) the tech predicted boy with almost 100% certainty. A/S at 19 weeks confirmed it.

I couldn't really see the nub clearly enough. Based on skull theory (which I know very little about), it looks like a boy. I was told boy at my NT and it was confirmed earlier this week.

Our tech didn't make a guess at the NT scan (but I did!)

These are the side views of our boys at 12w:

Their "dangle angles" gave it away, for me. Both angled away from the spine instead of being parallel. They confirmed that our babes are boys at a 15w ultrasound last week. They now have very defined peni they must grow into. lol

I can see what looks like an umbilical clearly in yours, then what could be a faint dangle with an angle to it, but it's tough to see.

Thanks everyone. I actually posted on ingender (couldn't help myself, hehe) and they said the same thing-you can really on see umbilicle cord. The tech was so sure though. When she showed me it was definitely pointing more upward!

At my N/T scan with my daughter the tech guessed girl and she was right, She guessed girl with this baby as well. I won't find out until the end of next month but she said she has a pretty good track record.

I always look at it as a 50/50 chance until the baby is born, but this is the first time we are finding out. I'm still waiting for confirmation at my AS scan next week, but we were told girl almost certainly. DH really wanted another boy and this too will be our last. It's hard when you want a healthy baby most, but dream of having a certain sex and it doesn't work out. Hopefully your tech was wrong, but either way you're blessed.

I went to the ER at 13 weeks for some bleeding and the tech said "I'm pretty sure its a boy because you see that thing clear as day in between the legs?" I wasn't convinced because I had heard of the nub theory as well and it was still so early. From what I saw that day, and on the follow up ultrasound, I was convinced it was a girl because it was not pointing upwards and was right! It made me kind of mad that the tech would even take a guess at 13 weeks based on the fact that there was something between the legs. They all have something between the legs until it forms into their parts. I guess it just depends on what week they told you they thought it was a boy. It they still saw something later on then its probably more likely true. If you are unsure, I would opt for the elective ultrasound or 3D to confirm.
