I've partially weaned DS so he is not nursing during the day. He nurses once in the evening, once overnight and sometimes in the morning. I know the overnight feeding should be next to go because there is no reason he should be waking up to nurse at this age; he gets enough to eat during the day. I just don't know how to get rid of it. The daytime feedings are replaced by meals and WCM, but what can I do at night when he wakes up screaming to be nursed?
Re: Dropping nighttime feeding (1 year old)
mlesser - totally off topic, but congrats on the pregnancy! how did it happen so fast? did you get your regular periods back pretty quickly after DS?
I still nurse once overnight, but now if he wakes before 3 or 4, he gets a cuddle and put back in the crib. Sometimes I do it, sometimes DH does it. He cries for a minute or two and goes back to sleep.
It might not be as bad as you think.
