What snacks should I take to the hospital?

I'll be in for 4 nights. They have stuff like Jello and pudding available all the time, but that's not going to cut it. :-)

And I know I am being a post whore, but since no one else is saying anything... you get me.

  • Little Debbies...anything really lmao  I know I asked for Little Debbie cosmic brownies after I had all of my kids and Taco Bell since the hospital either gives you shitty food or dont give you enough!

  • I love the bag of Milano cookies that was in the background of every single one of my pictures. LOL

  • I'm a chip person, so i'd bring some chips or some crackers. Maybe granola bars or trail mix?
  • Chocolate Chip Cookies.  I think I ate 73,000 of them while in the hospital.

  • we brought a variety of 100 calorie packs. we also brought licorice, a bag of chocolate and lots of water. I love water and the hospital was always super slow to bring me a small styrofoam cup of water that was gone before the nurse left the room.  good luck!

  • Good question -

When I was in the hospital I had DH bring me doritos, coca-cola, then I would have him go get me McDonalds, taco bell.

I must have chewed a whole pack of gum in the couple of days I was there.

  • Twizzlers and crackers is what I wanted.

I like the 100 cal pack idea.

  • I didn't need anything.  I ate the graham crackers and grape juice nearly endlessly, so we'd just pack whatever DH would want to munch on.

I am shocked you'll be there for four nights!  I was only in for just over 48 hours (check in to check out) for a standard scheduled c/s.  The healing is MUCH easier than one after laboring, etc.

  • I was there 4 nights with M. I am staying for the full time my insurance will allow-- this may be the only rest I get for a very long time.

My doc would never let someone go after 2 nights with a c/s. Three is the least.

  • I was there for 4 nights after both of my C/S as well.  My doctor was going to let me go after 2 nights w/ my second, but there were special circumstances since DS had been moved to a different hospital right after birth and I had only seen him for 5 minutes total in 2 days.  They were going to let me leave so I could go up and see him there, but they finally got a room for me at the same hospital he was at so I transfered instead.
