Hi,
Haven't been on here in a while but I hope to get some helpful insight. Looking for a new OB, preferably in the Dearborn/Livonia area. I know there are a couple of good ones at Beaumont and DMC/Harper but I'd like to know who you'd recommend.
Here's my story - DH and I are in our late 30's and have been TTC for over a year and a half. After trying unsuccessfully with fertility drugs and treatments, in June we tried the Natural Family Planning way and, a few weeks later got the best birthday present ever when I got a positive HPT. More confirmation came with 3 rising betas. Of course we were over the moon. Then came the wait for the first OB u/s which was last week Wednesday when I was 6 weeks (LMP). I defaulted to my old RE because I really didn't know where else to go at this point. U/S showed a gestational sac and nothing else. So we had to do the waiting game and do another u/s yesterday at 7 weeks (but I'm pretty sure I'm more like 6 weeks 'cause I have a good idea when I ovulated). Again, gestational sac only. Doc upped my progesterone to 3x a day now and we know it's still early, we'll let "nature take its course." We're still praying and hopeful - bottom line is I would like a fresh pair of (doctor) eyes to look at my situation, probably in a few weeks if God willing the baby is still in there trying to grow. Anyone know of a good doc that specializes in high-risk, who's nice and treats you like a person? This is a pretty delicate situation (I had no idea early pregnancy would be so stressful since this is our first pregnancy) so I would hope there are nice OB's out there - someone who won't rush into a D&C if by chance that's where we're headed this time around.
Recommendations and uplifting stories would be great!
