I will be 14 weeks along tomorrow and I weighed this morning and I am now over a pound less than my pre-pregnancy weight. In the beginning I had gained about 8 lbs but then morning sickness hit around week eight and since then I have done nothing but loose weight. The problem is I am not throwing up too terribly often so it must be lack of food but I feel like I do nothing but eat all day long. I eat a very small amount at at time because I start to feel nauseous after a normal serving size. I am so scared that I am not getting enough nutrients to keep my baby healthy. My next doctors appt isn't until next Tuesday so I just wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone else has experienced weight loss and have any suggestions.

I was also really worried, but my doc reassured me that as long as I was doing my best to take multivitamins (Flinstone's chewables ended up being the only thing I could stomach) and I was staying hydrated, the first trimester weight loss wasn't a problem for the baby (apparently the body prioritizes the baby?)
I'll note that I'm 25 weeks now, and my appetite is only now starting to come back. I had a very hard time eating enough to put on any weight - in the end, I had to track my calories to make sure I was getting enough to eat every day (I don't think myfitnesspal is intended to help you gain weight, but it worked for me - I just figured out what I was using and added 300 calories a day for the baby).
I'm now back up to my pre-pregnancy weight. It helped to do all the things I've spent years avoiding in an attempt to keep the weight off (switching back to whole milk, using butter on my toast/muffin in the morning, using real sugar on everything instead of splenda, eating dessert, etc.)
Sounds fine, but it depends on what your weight was like before pregnancy too. If you're overweight already chances are you could lose or stay pretty much the same if you're eating healthy. Some people end up eating much healthier when they find out they're pregnant and lose the fat while the baby is still gaining.
Just keep eating healthy/ taking your vitamins and you should be fine. you can always check with your doctor on Tuesday too
I didn't hit my pre-pregnancy weight until 20 weeks, and have been putting on 1/2-1 lb a week so far. Don't worry - you will get there! Now I'm not even bothered about my weight because I eat TONS of veggies, fruits, whole grains, legumes and lean meats. My appetite is smaller than pre-pregnancy so I just try to eat 4-5 smaller meals a day.
My midwives were a bit concerned about my weight but my OB/GYN wasn't concerned at all because she figured by 5-6 months the weight would start to pick back up. Just make sure you eat a healthy balanced diet and take your prenatals
