I could kick myself for buying that dang thing now that I'm trying to transition her out of it. DD has been a champ of a sleeper up to this point. She is very tall and started to look scrunched up in the RNP so we put the pack n play together a couple of nights ago. Our plan was to have her sleep in the PNP for a couple of weeks in our room, then transition her to her crib in the nursery. She naps in a crib pretty well at daycare so we didn't think we'd have much of a problem with the transition. Boy were we wrong. Last night, she was up 5 times (keep in mind, she's sttn since about 1 month old). I finally gave up and put her down in her RNP. I don't know what's going on with her sleep cycle. About a week ago she started stirring and waking herself up once or twice at night, needing to be nursed back to sleep. She is continually busting one or both arms out of her swaddleme, but if I dont swaddle her, she doesn't sleep. I don't know how to do this. I think maybe she's going through a growth spurt, so I'm going to try to hold off on changing her sleep spot until after this passes, but any advice is much appreciated. TIA
Re: HELP! Trying to transition out of the RNP.
Two words: Magic Sleepsuit. DS STTN only while swaddled in his RnP. We transitioned him out of the swaddle and into his cradle without any change in his sleep by using the Magic Sleepsuit. It is awesome! It is so much better because there is nothing to break out of.

Have you tried the sleep sack? Our son hated to be swaddled and constantly got his arms and one time his legs free. We didn't swaddle him when we used the RNP for the first 1.5 months. He hated sleeping in his PNP (still does I think it's the "mattress") but he'll sleep at night in his crib. It took us a few days for him to consistently sleep in the crib and we made sure to put him there for his naps as well.
Oh and there is a video on youtube for a bust free swaddle. You may want to look on there for swaddling. I can't remember what it's called but I'll look for it.
Some people say there is a magic suit that' like $40 but I think it's kind of hit or miss.

Just ordered one on amazon, thanks for the suggestion!
my LO has reflux too, which is another reason that I liked the rnp but this part is no fun. You should look into a woombie. Someone suggested it on this thread and I just researched it and ordered one through amazon. From the looks of it, I think that will solve the breaking out of the swaddle issue and then we can work on the transition again.
