I have followed BG's washing instructions to the T
I do a rinse, then a wash on hot w/ 2 T. of Rock n' Green, and then an additional rinse. I hang everything to dry.
They smell fine but as soon as my LO pees in them the freaking reak! I mean really bad amonia smell.
I have added the 1/4 c. bleach (per BG's website) but it hasn't helped.
I have no leaking problems and my BG Elementals do not have the same problem!
HELP ME!!!
Re: My BG 4.0's freaking reak!
You've got ammonia build up.
You can search around a bit, but essentially you might want to try a product specifically for ammonia removal (like RnG Funk Rock or ammonia remover meant for fish tanks) and you'll need to change your wash routine - more often, or more rinses, or more water in the wash, or less detergent, or another detergent.
