I want hazard pay. Pity party for one.

The H is out of the country and I'm on my own. This is not new and I knew it would be what parenting would be like when we married. BUT on Friday I took the kids and dog out on a hike and stopped at a picnic site in the woods. There were baby swings and naturally DS wanted to swing. So holding the leash I go in for a big push, I go forward, dog spooks and goes the other way. And my takes my thumb. And snaps my ligament. In my thumb, of my right hand. I am a surly grump caring for 3 kids alone in constant pain with only my left hand. I am in a temporary cast until I get to the surgeon to see if I GEt a real cast or need surgical repair. My poor kids, i've been a bear and they've eaten chicken nuggets on paper plates way too many meals.

Thanks- they are quite pleased with the accommodations, right now. I do imagine though, that i am not a pleasant person to be around.

Ouch! Hope you get some relief soon!

I can relate, on the fourth of July I wrecked my bicycle (taking iphone pictures while bike riding is a bad idea) and fractured a rib, bruised my spleen etc. DH was home for the first three days but then had to go back to work out of state. It wasnt ideal but we survived. I couldnt even stand up straight or carry my 1 year old and we live on the third floor. Paper plates and napkins, pizza delivery, cereal and toaster waffles were staples for at least a week. And the TV was on a lot!
