It's hard to say because there is such a wide price range for diaper bags. I think as a general rule you shouldn't register for anything that you wouldn't buy yourself.
This is my rule as well. If it is a price that you would pay yourself, then register for it.
I would be registering for a diaper bag but Coach doesn't have registries.

A registry is nothing more than a list of things you're planning (and willing) to purchase on your own. People say "what do you need still?" or "what do you want?" and you say "here's my registry".
A registry is not "here is everything I want people to waste your money on" or "here is what BRU says I need to buy" or "here is a list of what I think people want to buy me even though I'm not going to be happy with it and I want something different". If you're planning on buying it yourself, register for it. If someone was planning on buying you a $40 diaper bag, but yours costs $200, they may give you a $40 gift card with a note of "feel free to use this towards x,y,z" (as I have done in the past).
That being said, I also registered for breastfeeding stuff, diapers and stuff like a lamp for the nursery. Why? Because I planned on buying it for my son and if someone really got their jollies buying a floor lamp, then so be it. Some people like to give themed gifts (all bath related stuff or all bed stuff or all feeding stuff) and if it's something I need/am planning on buying, it goes on the registry (IMO).
Little Man (4 years old---holy cow) He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be. He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.
I didn't register, and my diaper bag is Prada so I wouldn't have been able to do it anyway. But, I think you should register for anything you are planning to buy for yourself anyway. You never know who will want to spend more on you.
I'm not registering for one because I'm picky and already picked out a personalized tote... But if I saw one on a registry I wouldn't think anything of it.

Agree. Register for things you would buy yourself anyways. Things you think you'll need.
Who has a problem with registering for breastfeeding supplies? These must be the same people who have a problem with women breastfeeding in public. I love making a gift basket of nothing but breastfeeding supplies!!!! They're just boobs, people!
Re: Another registry question, sorry
Would you have a price limit for that? I've found one I love but I think it might be too much $ to ask for

You can put anything you need on a registry, like any other item someone might buy the diaper bag, they might not.
I got my diaper bag on Amazon, I looooove it.
