How active is your LO?

My LO is crazy active. It's almost impossible to get her to just sit and play with anything any more. I spend all my time chasing her, and whenever there are any other babies around she does laps around them basically. It seems like only the 2 and 3 year olds have her beat on energy and speed. How active is your baby?

  • I can't keep DD still either. She's crawling, standing, moving along furniture, and she LOVES it when we hold her hands so she can take some steps. I used to be able to sit on the floor next to her blanket with all her toys on it. She rarely stays in one place to play with anything for very long anymore! I am in trouble when this girl starts to walk, that's for sure.

  • It seems like baby girl only wants to go where she is not allowed. I am constantly chasing her away from the fireplace and the air conditioning vent and the stairs which she can climb all of them.

  • My son is very active, crawling, taking steps on his own... doesn't want dh or I's help. Like a pp said, going where they aren't allowed... pulling things out of boxes we have to keep out of certain areas, because we're only in a one bedroom... small area, so he can get into more :

  • I don't think DD ever stops moving. I think see feels like the whole house is her playground. She crawling all over, walking with a walker, chasing after the dogs, pulling up on everything, rearranging all the books and dvds, etc.

  • If my children are awake, they are moving.

  • DS is climbing on everything! He isn't really interested in toys right now, he would much rather be out exploring his surrondings.

  • DS is constantly moving.  He hates that we have him confined to the living room.  He is standing, trying to walk, crawling, and getting into everything.

  • When DS transitioned to the mobile infant room at daycare, the info sheet they gave us said that kiddos at that age are all about "constant movement".  That pretty much sums up my life with DS.  He NEVER sits still!  And he is crazy fast!

  • He. Doesn't. Ever. Stop.

Honestly, if he is awake he is moving. He walks around whatever room im in going from thing to thing. His new thing, he has learned to bend down and then back up while standing do now he lives going around grabbing toys.

    He wears me out!

  • DD army crawls, but only to get to something she wants, and only if it is relatively close by. She won't leave the living room (I think because the rest of the house is hard tile, and carpet is just nicer to drag one's body across)!
