Glucose Test

Sorry, another question!

Tomorrow I am having my glucose test and I am just wondering if I should avoid certain foods prior to the test so that it does not impact the results or does that not matter?  Any tips? Thanks!

Re: Glucose Test

  • No. You want to eat all of your normal food exactly like you would any other day. If you eat different stuff to change the results (i.e. cheat the test), they could miss the warning signs for gestational diabetes. If you show positive levels for GB, they'll tell you specifically how they want you to modify your diet to keep your sugars good and your babies healthy. DO NOT try to alter your test results.
