nursing bras for extra large breasts

I am having trouble finding a good bra that fits well. I have very large breasts, 38DDD, & I am hoping that someone could give me some good recommendations for a place to get a great bra or a bra that they really like. I have tried on so many & to find one that actually fits is so hard. Other large boobed moms please help!

Re: nursing bras for extra large breasts

  • you have to go to specialty shops. Nordstrom is great if you have one locally, otherwise look for a lingerie shop (not VS etc)

  • I would really wait until after baby is born.  I bought a few while pregnant and after DD was born, my boobs grew again once the milk came in.

I did get mine at Motherhood Maternity and they had size E.

  • I just bought a great one yesterday, not only does it come in a 38f, it's cute. The brand is Le Mystere, model sexy mama nursing bra. I got it at Harrods in London, but I'm sure it's available online.

  • Cacique (owned by Lane Bryant) carries extended sizes and they have nursing bras.  I'm a 38DD and I love their bras.  I have no experience with their nursing bras specifically, but I do know they carry them.

  • my favorite bra place is www.breakoutbras.com They have great sales and a wide variety of sizes.  and i agree with PPs, wait until after baby is born
  • Im reading that the OP needs a regular bra right now - my breasts went insane around this point last time and I needed new bras immediately lol.

If you are just shopping for a nursing bra just because, then definitely wait. But certain sizes are hard to find even in reg bras (and I mistyped earlier, Im a 32G which is really really hard to find and I have like 2 choices anywhere in the world for nursing!)

  • I am not necessarily just looking for a nursing bra but any bra that fits well with support & wires that dont go into my armpits. I dont want to buy a bra from any website as I wont know if its going to fit. So store suggestions are helpful. Thanks everyone
  • I've had great luck with Bravado bras.  Not the sexiest, but very comfy and supportive.  Usually only carried at specialty retailers, but once you find sizes/styles you like you can get them easily online.

  • Currently, I'm a 34 G. My boobs are going crazy again so I'm on the bra hunt too!

OK, last time I used Bravado's Original M ++ bra (38 DD/G). Those are great for sleeping. The sizing is very flexible as you can see.  https://www.bravadodesigns.com/

The other ones I used was some bras from Motherwear.  www.motherwear.com

I used the Great Support Bra - it's a super supportive non-underwire bra and it goes up to a J cup. I used that for the first 6 weeks. (https://www.motherwear.com/prod.cfm/cid/52/sid/6270)

Then I switched to a nursing underwire bra. The only other thing I suggest is try to find cheap nursing tops in Gap/ON/Target because you need to see if the opening will work with your bustiness!

Bravissimo also carries nursing bras that are more pretty. https://www.bravissimo.com/products/lingerie/nursing-bras/#/1?show=16&sort=1

If you go to a specialty lingerie place; you'll find the brands that Bravissimo sells like Panache. But try to find a local store because the prices can be lower than Nordstrom.

    Good luck!

  • Duh. Just saw that the TITLE was "nursing bras."  Can I claim mommy/pregnancy brain on that one? ;)
