2nd Trimester

Baby moving too much...

Is anyone else already having trouble getting to sleep from all the kicking and squirming around? I love feeling him moving around in there but it makes me feel sick after a while. He almost never stops moving. Just wandering if anyone else is already in my boat... Any suggestions would be awesome.

    me :/

I love her and she does some cute things (like kick at my FI's head when he tries to sleep on my tummy) but the NP told me, she's a wiggly one.

She moves so much some days that it makes my morning sickness feel like it's completely back.

I do find that when I'm out doing things or moving around a lot, she doesn't move as much, or at least as noticeably. If I'm busy during the day her movements don't make me sick. And then at night she kicks a little but not too much. I think maybe she just gets bored when I do nothing lol

  • Loading the player...
  • With DD, she NEVER stopped moving and unfortunately, she came out the same way, she is always go-go-go.  Do you have a glider or rocking chair yet?  If so, maybe try rocking the baby....

This one has yet to make movment.  I feel a small tap every few days, but nothing like DD, so hopefully this is our quiet one.

  • I wish! I still haven't felt him or her! Sad

  • What position do you sleep in? I've noticed that when I sleep on my back, the LO is less active. They tell you if you want to feel him move to lay on your left side, so maybe that could be the problem? Or, are you eating before you go to bed? Mine gets super jumpy right after I eat and again about 20 min later.
  • I've tried both sides and my back but it hurts to lay on my back and I think that's when he moves most... Would warm milk before bed maybe get him to calm down?

  • They fall asleep when we move and are active and wake when we're still.  You'll notice this after they're born also lol

  • My little boy loves to become active once I lay down to sleep. I find that if I sit in the rocking chair for 10 minutes or so before I try to sleep he is calmer. At least I can doze off before he starts getting too rambunctious.

  • It might help or it might not. Either way it's worth a shot. GL!
  • Mine is crazy too! The u/s tech told me two separate times that she is extremely active. I love it though.
