Soaking through overnight diapers

Right now we're using Pamper's extra protection, and about every other night she had been waking up either in the middle of the night or early morning because she's soaking wet. Should I buy a larger size (we're in 3's and they are feeling a bit too small), or should I try Huggies Overnights? I was thinking about picking up a pack of size 4's in each and testing them both out, but I thought I'd see what the "experts" say first. If Huggies are better then I'll just buy those.

Re: Soaking through overnight diapers

  • We use Huggies overnights in a size up and it's the only thing he doesn't pee through.  Good luck!

We went up to 4s even though they looked huge on him and it solved his leaking.

  • I'd try one size up.  When I was getting ready to buy overnights, all the mamas said to go one size up.  DS wears a Size 3 in Target's Up & Up diapers during the day and a Size 4 in Pampers Extra Protection at night.

  • I would also go up a size.

  • O always wears size 4's-daytime and nighttime.  I have to say that the Huggies Overnights are MUCH more absorbent than the pampers. I would say try the size 4 in Huggies-hopefully they work for you!

  • Having this same issue the past few nights!!   He is in size 4 pampers during the day and pampers extra dry at night.  The past few mornings I've had to strip him, wash him, and redress before he can go have his breakfast because he's soaked in pee.  ICK!  My husband says it's because we need to spring for the more expensive overnight diapers but I disagree.  They have worked fine up to this point why would we all the sudden need the more expensive ones?  I'm afraid going up a size might be too big though.  Hmmmm it's worth a try!  Smile

  • Thanks ladies. I'll buy size 4 Huggies. Luckily they aren't that much more expensive than Pampers on Amazon.

  • Ha ha, my kid is a pipsqueak (15% for weight) and wears a size 6 Huggies Overnite!  He wears a 5 Huggies LM during the day.  Anything smaller and he was showing a plumber's crack b/c he's so tall.  They do work well though!

  • I used to buy a size up in Huggies overnights and he always soaked them too.  The other day I realized Walmart now carries overnights in the Parent's Choice brand (which is what we use during the day.)  They work much better than the Huggies (in the correct size!) and they are about half the price!  Score!

Nice! Too bad there's no walmart anywhere close to where I live.
