Anyone have a LO who has invented their own word for something? I'm not talking about mispronouncing a word, I mean a whole new word means something.
A has three. He says "ack" for light, says "agee" when he wants you to help him do something, and "reegos" for ears. I can't find the connection between how these sound and how the real words sound...so I assume he just made them up! I wonder when these will turn to the real words!

Re: invented words?
Yes, DS says "ba" when he wants a puree. I have no idea how those two words are related.
He also keeps asking for a "susu" and neither DH nor I can figure out what that is!
Does whining "eh eh" count?
Ba-ba is his word for bicycle, which is pretty close.
Dah is his word for light/lamp. I'm guessing it comes from dark?... but am not really sure.
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
No, but I do : )
She does say "neigh" for horse because she knows how to say the sound it makes but not the animal name.
She has started to refer to herself and sometimes others as "Ce-Ce" I think she is trying to say her name (Ainsley) and only has the last part down. it is kind of cute.
So weird
Hazel has a giraffe lovey who I call giraffe baby. Hazel calls him baba baby. Actually that's what she calls all giraffes, even the ones that aren't pink or attached to blankies. But in her defense, giraffe is a hard word.
Not really made up, but he says "MAH" for Mom, milk, AND more... so GL figuring that one out!!
And "BIRRR" for bird and apple... oy!
My favorite is he calls himself "Pee-Pee".... Hahahaha! We call him Pete-Pete, that's why, but it's pretty funny!
