Overdue ET update

Transfer was last Wednesday.  We put back two... an 8 cell and 5 cell both 2B's.

I've never had an 8 cell on day 3 so I'm very happy with that.  The embryo transfer itself went smoothly but my clinic was running way behind and left me wait way to long for someone with a full bladder.  I won't go into all the details, all I can say is I'm feeling pretty bitter about the neglect (no nurse even came around to check on us). 

MH insists that I not use my laptop on my lap while I'm PUPO, so for the first two days  of bedrest I was limited to his Ipad.  I can't type worth beans on that thing so that's why I'm so late on this.

    I'm sorry they made you wait so long at transfer, but glad it went OK. I hope your embryos snuggle in. Good luck!

    DH: low count + very low motility; hormones all normal; Sperm DNA Frag. test = poor to fair; male karyotyping normal
    Me: FSH 13.4 + AMH 0.26 + hypothyroidism; Scratch the hypothyrodism (?); Blood clotting and immune panel all negative; endometrial biopsy normal

    IVF #1 (MDLF - Jul/Aug 2011): BFN (9R, 5M, 3F with ICSI, 3dt of 1 10-cell grade 2, no frosties)
    IVF #2 (EP-antagonist - Sep/Oct 2011): BFN (6R, 4M, 3F w/ ICSI, 3dt of 1 6-cell, 1 7-cell, grade 4s, no frosties)
    DE IVF #1 (shared cycle - June 2012): c/p (6R, 6F w/ICSI, 3dt 1 8-cell grade A- and 1 7-cell grade A-; no frosties)
    DE IVF #2 (shared cycle with new donor - Nov/Dec/ 2012): - BFP!!!!! 12/14/12. U/S on 12/27 shows twins!!!!!

    I am sorry to hear about them leaving you alone for so long with a full bladder - I likely would have said something right then.  it was quite unprofessional of them.  it does sound like this is one of your better, if not your best cycle in terms of day 3 embryo quality!!!   I really hope this means that you have to deal with another full bladder for a LONG time, if ever again!

    My husband was the same with the laptop! 

    Sorry your transfer wasn't what you'd hoped. Can you tell them at your next appointment how that irritated you? 

    Hoping your embryos keep thriving. I'll be thinking of you.

    Glad to hear you had an 8 cell. I've never had one!  As for the full bladder--I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me on the last one and they had to bring me a bedpan since there was no way I could lay on the table for 15 minutes after the ET since it hurt so much.  Wishing you the best of luck!

    Dx: DH - Azoo, Me - Mild PCOS
    DH - sperm found! Seems to produce only for a few days every 70 days!
    Over 1 million in cryo in 15 vials over 6 samples
    IVF #1 - 1 beautiful expanded blast transferred, 4 snowbabies - beta #1 11/30/11 = BFFN
    FET #1, transfered 2 embies 2/16/12 = BFFN; 1 snowbaby left in cryo
    IVF #2 + CGH = 4 genetically normal embies on ice. FET September 26th
    SAIF/PAIF always welcome

    Keeping everything crossed that those embies are snuggled in tight for the long haul!  Sorry to hear that things went so poorly at ET -- that's awful.

    After more than 2 years of fertility treatments, FET did the trick!
