On Saturday morning we heard *thump thump* "Hello? I out my crib!" Same thing at nap time so I said ok that's it, time to convert him to a big boy bed. Our convertible never had a toddler guard rail so we headed out to buy one of the mesh ones. I picked up red and navy sheets and then let him pick a new blanket. I figured all the things he likes (Thomas, Cars and Spiderman) would all go with red and blue and this way I can switch out the blankets but keep the "theme" of the room just red and blue. He picked Spiderman (no surprise) and we let him get a matching little rug and he loves it.
When we set it all up and told him to come him he said "Ahh! Byooful!" I LOL'd Oh and he slept until 7:45 Saturday (usually up between 6 and 6:30) and this morning I had to wake his butt up for daycare. Maybe we should have switched a long time ago.
Re: We tackled the big boy bed milestone
Awww cute!
That is one transition I am super nervous about. LOL.
It sounds like your transition went smoother than ours. We set up his twin bed last Friday. Let's just say it's been a long week and 2 days.
