A few months ago, I stopped giving DS yogurt and cheese because I thought it was making him gassy and irritable. I don't remember if I noticed any diarrhea. I started it up again a few weeks ago and he seemed fine at first. Then he just kept pooping and it was pretty loose. He seemed like he was getting irritable again, too. I stopped dairy foods again maybe almost a week ago and I think his irritability stopped pretty quickly, but he is still a pooping machine. I noticed it got a little better after a few days (less pooping, but still loose). I'm wondering if it is some sort of dairy allergy or intolerance, would it take this long to get back to normal? I've been worried that it's connected to wheat products (gluten intolerance runs in DH's family), but he had Cheerios, Puffs, and oatmeal and rice cereals for a while before I introduced him to pasta, whole wheat bread, and barley. He also hasn't been complaining too much (that I can tell). Is it common for kids to have an issue with Barley, but not oatmeal?
