Alex wants to walk and stand all the time now. His newest trick is to just let go of my hands when he's standing somewhere. He gets this really focused look on his face and sticks his arms out to the sides and balances himself, it's totally awesome to watch!
The longest he stood by himself before falling over was 22 seconds, but the average is more like 15. I have a feeling that he will skip crawling, since he still has no intention of trying this!

Sounds like you were busy with baby-proofing your house! They are just getting into everything if we would let them! :-)
