Toy advice

Staring at the ceiling fan is totally losing its appeal! The boys are nearly 3 months, and I am looking for suggestions on developmentally age appropriate toys that they can enjoy over the next few months..any suggestions? We have the standard swings, playmats, rattles, etc.

Re: Toy advice

  • I would say closer to the 4 month mark-depending on head control you can start with the jumparoo and excersaucer(sp). Those worked well for my DD for a good few months.

We introduced stacking cups and the stacking ring around 4-6 months and some soft books.

  • Mirrors are a huge hit in our house right now! That and turning the bouncy seat on the mode where they have to kick to get it to play music. I hesitate to say they are finally figuring out how that one works! :)

  • my girls both love these soft crunchy books to play with in their Bumbos or car seats, or whatever.

  • My girls love their playmats still at 7 months.  Also, any of the baby Einstein toys work great starting at 3 months.

playmats are hands down the best investment we will ever make, IMO. If you don't have one yet that is the first thing I would get for sure. My girls loved being read to at that age too.
