Back to work with a bang

I am scheduled for 12 straight days!  I am supposed to work 10-hr days, except maybe a little shorter on the weekend.  Oh, and DH has only had both kids for an hour or so, at most.  He's got kid duty over a 3-day weekend.  Gotta love it.

Anyone want to make me feel better by sharing their return to work horror stories?

DS born 8/8/09 and DD born 6/12/12.

I seriously wonder what the person making the schedule is thinking when I hear something like this. DH makes the schedule at work, and he always takes in consideration what's going on in his staff's personal lives, how they fare at different times of the day and stuff. 12 days straight seems like a lot to give a person coming off maternity to leave and adjusting to having a baby and going back to work. :(

I'm hoping to arrange things so I come back mid-week, and only have to work a few days before I get a couple days off for the weekend.

  • When I came back to work I walked into my office and the temp had totally rearranged everything and thrown away my plants. I later found out that a co-worker had told him to do it because he was slow... Being slow is exactly why I told them not to hire a temp in the first place. I have very little work in the summer because there are no students! Why he listened to her I'll never know.
