So, we are not officially potty training yet. I don't think DS is all the way ready (alothough, he is not crying and screaming at the mention of "potty" anymore). Over the weekend I let him run around the apartment without diaper for about 5-6 hours. No accidents!!! But, no going on the potty either. So, I put a pull-up on him and he lets it all loose (soaking wet and poopy). Yesterday, I tried the butt naked approach again. After 2-3 hours, he went pee in the potty!!! Of course, I made it a huge deal!! Then, he turns to me (not caring that I made a big deal) and says, "Diaper on". He wants a pull-up on for reward?? I laughed, put one on him, and thanked him for going on the potty. Did I do the wrong thing?

On the PT front, I was VERY "laid back" about it because I didn't want to make it a battle ground at all. My theory is that they'll get around to it w/o pressure. I'm not saying don't encourage them and talk to them about it, etc, but I let DS make a lot of the choices about it.
Luckily my DCP was also working on it on her end too - and he's more apt to listen to her from the get go (no nonsense woman - the kids KNOW to listen to her!), where as w/ mommy and daddy - he simply pushes w/ us more. So I kind of let her be the tough one on it and at home, we were more relaxed about it.
But it all came together and I'd say by around 3, he was PT'd.
