We bought a tea kettle that we use to warm water, then put the water and bottle in a mug/container to warm the bottle. No expensive bottle warmer necessary.
We use wipes as they come, no warmer. If you warm them, they'll HATE cold wipes, and what will you do when you're out in public or at someone else's house without a warmer?
oh, good thinking about the wipes....just break em into that cold wipe hitting that little booty! Someone bought me a bottle warmer, but I was debating on taking it back. PS--my name is Haley Anna!

To warm a bottle, I just put a mug of water in the microwave for a minute. Take it out and put the bottle in the mug. This time, I have a Keurig so we will just use that for getting warm water. Our daycare keeps a small crockpot of warm water going all day. That is another option for you.

thanks. The girl I babysit's daughter is going on 2 and she still has to heat up ANYTHING she drinks because she wont drink anything cold. I really want to avoid that. Lol so the baby doesnt mind taking a bottle at room temp? even when he/she was a newborn?

I used a bottle warmer for DD and will use it again. Personally I liked using it. I took back a wipes warmer someone got me when I was pg with DD. I didn't feel it was necessary.
I have a bottle warmer only because it was a gift. it helped when thawing breastmilk or taking it straight from the fridge, but we never warmed up formula, always given at room temp...
I wouldn't use a wipes warmer for the same reason PP gave
The wipes warmer can dry them out, and even in a cold climate like Chicago it didn't seem to bother DD having wipes be not heated. Plus as a health professional the idea of a warm, moist environment grossed me out as that is perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
For DD's bottles, we just heated up water in a coffee mug (microwave) and the mug is perfect size to put bottle in and warmed it that way. Worked great. After she started whole milk at 1yr old we just stopped warming it and it was no big transition.

We didn't purchase either....I remember someone posting months ago that to warm up bottles they made a cup of hot water from their keurig, so if we need to heat bottles this is what we will do.

Nah. A bottle in a mug of hot water will warm up just fine, and cold wipes aren't a big deal. You're going to have to use wipes un-warmed when you're out of the house/in public, right?

I'm clearly in the minority here. We have a wipes warmer for DS and love it. Still use it now. He never ever had a problem with cold wipes when are out or away from home. It proved most valuable to me when he was first born. He'd wake in the middle of the night, eat, poop, and pass out. The cold wipes would cause him to wake up and then he was awake for awhile. Once I got the wipes warmer, he slept through the diaper changes and i got to go back to bed sooner. Also, most of the wipes we have no drying out problems with. It just depends on the brand. I would recommend a wipes warmer to anyone. Again, I'm clearly in the minority.
I wouldn't reccomend the the wipe warmer. They only dry out half the wipes on the bottom. The bottle warmer is a personal choice. It's not needed, but it does save time and is more accurate each time.
Never used them. DD took her bottles at any temp those every three hour pumping sessions at night made me very lazy in preparing her bottles. She got them straight from the fridge after a couple weeks.
I figure if room temp wipes were good enough for a 2lb baby in the nicu, they'd be fine after she came home. And honestly I change her in so many locations around the house, I'd need like 10 wipe warmers.
FTM, so not speaking from experience. I have a bottle warmer, it was $15 and also sterilizes nipples and pacifiers. I did not see the need for a wipe warmer.
No you dont need them. My bottle warmer never worked well. It took too long. My wipe warmer was great (and never got nasty or anything, but I cleaned it regularly with each new package of wipes I put in it.) The wipe warmer was great in the winter because our house was old and had a tendency to chill at night so the wipes would get crazy cold. With the warmer, my son would sleep through the diaper change. Neither of those things you need, but the wipe warmer was the only one of the two I would repurchase today.

I guess I'm in the minority too. I love our wipes warmer. I mainly used it in the winter though. Cold wipes are refreshing if it is hot outside, but DS definitely appreciated the soothing warmth during the cold winter months. I never had a problem using cold wipes when we were out.
Nope. Wipes warmers dry out the wipes more quickly and occasionally catch fire several recalls. Besides, what are you going to do when you are out of the house? We didn't need the bottle warmer either. Ds was fine with room temp or slightly cold bottles.
We only used our bottle warmer a few times. We found it to be a pain in the ass to have to fill with water, and then the beeping on it was extremely loud. Then the appropriate setting did not always heat the bottle enough, so we'd have to put it in again.
Heating it on the stove was way easier.
We didn't have a wipes warmer at the very beginning, but we got one after like a week or so. DS was a December baby & he was miserable for diaper changes. The warm wipes were definitely more comfortable for him. It was a must-have for us.
eta- DS did not become warm wipe dependent! I would never even consider that being an issue. Once spring came, we stopped using the warmer & he was fine. It was just for when he was a shivering newborn. Also, our wipes warmer didn't dry out the wipes so long as we maintained the moisture pad.
Since I plan to pump when I go back to work a few of my IRL friends said the bottle warmer would help my SO with the bottle feeding--it just simplifies things for him and since his baby experience is extremely limited I want to make this as smooth as possible for both of them. I did not register for or receive the wipes warmer.

No.

No to both. We gave DD her bottles at room temperature. The wipes warmer is known to actually dry out wipes. It's a silly invention.
I didn't have either.

No to both. Waste of money.

I think they're a personal preference.
