Last week I made a batch of carrots for Hank and froze them until this weekend when he turned 6 months.
I have read that microwaving the food in a glass container is an option for reheating the food . . . But I have always believed that nutrients are lost when microwaved, so I am not sure I am too fond of this method.
How do you heat homemade baby food once it has been thawed?
Re: Talk to me about heating baby food
This is what we do. I have little glass jars that I just pop into a bowl of hot/warm water to warm the food. You could also heat in a small pan on the stove. I try and stay away from the microwave if I can.

My DH likes to 'steam' veggies by putting them in the microwave in water for a while. I'm sure that takes all the nutrients out of them.
Microwaving LO's food for 10 seconds so its not too cold. Probably not. Their main nutrients are from formula or breastmilk at this stage anyways.
I usually put DD's food in the fridge a day or two before so it can thaw. Sometimes I microwave it for a few seconds and other times I leave it out on the counter to 'warm up' a little while before I feed her. It all depends on what we are doing that day and if I'm near the fridge.

This is what we do. DS rarely if ever gets warm food. It's either cold or room temperature. He's drank cold formula since he was about a month old so he's used to it.
