I am looking for something that plays lullaby as well as white noise.
Stays on all night.
Can be battery operated or plugged in.
Is small enough to travel with.
We have a humidifier that we run at home that does great at drowning out outside noises and I play a lullaby cd when I put him down for bed. The grandparents houses are just too quiet and I have a hard time getting him to stay asleep. We are going on a trip in September with my brother and his GF and they are not the quietest people (they dont have kids and just dont really understand waking sleeping children up). I am hoping that taking a sound machine along will greatly help!
Re: Recommend your sound machine...
We have this one and I LOVE it...

Plays both lullaby and white noises, plugs in, has an adapter for an MP3 player (never used it though) it also is a night light. I currently play the lullabies for naps and heartbeat for nighttime and I think she might have to take it to college with her! It has a timer but I just leave it on all night.

We have this one and like it. It plays white noise and lullabies, and is both plug in or battery operated.

We have this one and love it! It's pretty small, plays several different kinds of white noise as well as lullabies, plus it has a place to plug in your iPod. I find it can go pretty loud too, and it has a night light (you can turn it off also). 2 thumbs up!
