DD has been having some sleep issues - waking up in the middle of the night, saying she's scared/had a bad dream, etc. insists that I sleep with her. Last night it was very bad and she ended up in our bed after ~2 hours of laying down in her room, leaving and coming back, etc.
She did get out of my bed though to go potty and she has NEVER done that - so I'm a little suspicious that part of her waking up issues may have to do with starting to wake herself to pee and being confused about that urge/feeling and interpreting it as fear.
Did anyone have this issue? There have been a few other little changes - so she's reflecting that too - her favorite preschool teacher just went out on bedrest and now she's changing to the 4s classroom in a few weeks.
Re: Sleep disruption re night time potty training?
My son's sleep has been disrupted quite a bit over the last 2 weeks and these are the weeks he's made the most progress with the potty. He's waking up dry and pooping on the potty so we've made great progress there but now he's not sleeping through the night. He's going to bed like normal at 7:00 but then waking around 10 and not falling back to sleep until 1:30 or 2:00! We're exhausted here.
I've been wondering if the two are connected too. Sorry I don't have answers . . .
