I was just thinking about this today and could not find it anywhere. When you trigger after taking clomid, does it also ready your cervix as well? I would think it would have to otherwise what good would it do to ovulate and your cervix not be open for the sperm to get to where they need to be.....

Re: Trigger shot and Cervix
Your cervix is ready, but not sure it's from the trigger shot. Naturally when you're growing follicles and nearing ovulation your body releases estrogen which I believe is what tells your body to soften and open the cervix.
If you are taking a trigger shot, it's because you've taken FSH drugs and you have follicles large enough for ovulation. And many doctors will do e2 tests to find out how much estrogen your body is putting out from those follicle.
But, many will only do one to three cycles of timed intercourse (TI) before moving on to IUI. If you are really worried about your cervix being a factor, then you should just talk to your doctor about moving on to IUI where they will bypass the cervix.
