Britax roundabout carseats

Currently we have a Graco infant carrier and stroller that is a travel system. It was given to us at my shower. At his first check up his pedi told me about how backwards facing is now required to the age of 2 and we would need to get a bigger carseat in the near future once he grows this once out.

I was curious if any of you ladies have the Britax roundabout carseat and if you do, how do you carry LO inside places? Such as the grocery store or out to eat...etc. Maybe I'm a little confused but from what it looks theres not a way to put this carseat on the grocery basket or a handle for them to be carried in like on an infant carrier.

I love these carseats and they seem to have outstanding safety ratings so im really wanting to get one. Just unsure on how to tote the LO around until he can hold his head up and sit upright.

Once again, I might be over looking this..TIA!

    The Roundabout is a convertible car seat it stays buckled in the car all of the time, you don't take it out.nbsp;nbsp;

    Yes, what I'm asking is what are moms that have this carseat using to bring their LO's inside somewhere? Do you just hold them? Being that the carseat holds a minimum weight of 5lbs, I'm assuming some might have this carseat for their newborns.

    Not sure what the weight limit is on your infant seat, but it's probably going to be a while before you need to move to a convertible seat. My Chicco Keyfit goes to 30lbs or 30", whichever comes first. We switched DS around 8 or 9 months, at which point he could sit in a shopping cart or high chair. For mall trips I just put him in his stroller.

    The minimum weight on this carseat is 5lbs. I wouldnt bother looking for others until he outgrew his infant carseat, but we are looking for an additional seat to put in DH's car. We would just get an additional base but there will be days that I take LO to grandmas and DH has to pick him up. This starts in about 6 weeks or so when I go back to work. So I was just looking around at different carseats :

    Edit: I hate that bump mobile won't let you put smiley faces! Lol

    Oh, it sounded like you were wanting to take the Roundabout out to put in the grocery cart or something.

    This is why I wanted an infant carrier.  It would be nice to just invest in a really nice convertible car seat and it can last LO for a few years- but the downfall is that it must stay buckled in the car.  So if LO is sleeping you have to unbuckle them from the car seat and either wear them or put them in a stroller.  Infant carriers are super convenient because you can just plop the carrier into a grocery cart.

    And just a heads up:  please don't ever put a carrier on the seat area of a grocery cart- even if it has the groves to fit on and even if it locks into place.  It makes the cart top heavy and cause the cart to tip over.

    Thank you for the heads up! FTM here and had no idea about the cart tipping over. Good thing I haven't gone to the grocery store yet!
