Breast milk popsicles

What? Cool! I saw this in an earlier post, and am down for anything that would get LO to stop screaming every time I try to eat warm food. How does it work, I highly doubt a 5 mo could manage a stick, or hold the cold part...how is this possible? Should I start with one oz or less?

  • Neat idea. Maybe one of the feeders with a little net to hold the frozen milk in that attaches to a teether looking ring.  I know my description is totally lacking so here's a link to what I'm talking about.  https://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Fresh-Food-Feeder-1ea/dp/B0009ET93Q

  • Yes, I have something similar to what the PP linked to. I also have breast milk freezer trays that I use to freeze the pumped milk. One stick broken in half goes in the mesh holder. When I read about it, I also saw some people put the milk in an ice cube tray and stick a pacifier in it before freezing. Google momsicles and you should find some ideas.

My LO loves it, especially when he has sore gums. However, it doesn't always work to give us a quiet dinner. I think sometimes it just makes him realize he's hungry! :)
