GD- numbness/tingling lips & tongue after eating?

Has anyone else experienced this?

It's happened probably 10 times or so in the last month and I totally forget to mention it to the OB and my midwives.  My numbers are good and I am diet controlled, and it's always after I eat (and within my carb range and with all different types of food).  It happened again tonight and it's just so weird.  I don't understand why it's happening but I'm going to ask tomorrow at my appt. but again- good numbers so I don't know what's up... and it's not that my number is too low because it's AFTER I eat.

  • It happened to me, too, when I was pregnant with DD. NO idea why, but doc said it was nothing to worry about.

  • I was just going to say it could be a food allergy.  Sometimes people get random allergies when pregnant.

Of course that was my first thought, but it's happening after I eat all different types of foods.  And no swelling and no redness.
