Birth Control when done having babies?

Anyone making the Man get a snip snip? Anyone having their tubes tied? The Man promised that we would not choose to do that but I don't want to use BC and condoms my whole life. We are going for three (max) and done so I just don't know what to do. I guess I can get a IUD and have it replaced for the rest of my life. What are you guys doing?

DH is getting snipped, but an IUD is a good choice. Before we decided on trying again so soon, I was going to get one for 2+ years.

Hubs has already agreed to get the big V. I didn't even have to try to convince him, he was already planning on it!

DH has already refused to ever get snipped even though I haven't even asked him to. I think I'll go with the IUD because BC makes me less crampy and have lighter periods so I don't know that I'd ever want to go off it.

J is getting it done. If he wasn't I would have gotten my tubed tied with my last c/s. If he decides to be a chicken sh!t, I will probably get the essure procedure. I REFUSE to use any other type of hormonal BC and condoms suck and I am not careful enough to use NFP.

Permanent birth control freaks me out for me, totally cool with other people doing it. When we are fine having kids I'll just have an iud what I have now. Also, just for perspective, you won't need to replace one for the rest of your lifejust to menopause. If you get the paraguard that's good for ten years, you may only have to replace it once or twice depending on how old you are/ when menopause hits you.

The plan is for my husband to have a vasectomy. Luckily he has a friend who already had it done, so that helps. It can't be too torturous, because the friend is about to go in for a reversal. Ha.
