anyone else feel/felt that way? STMs: did you feel like baby was going to come early and did that happen? i don't know why i feel this way, i feel like the doctor is right as far as my due date, yet i have this nagging feeling like she'll be here by the end of september!
Re: feeling that baby is gonna come out early?
First time around, for most of my pregnancy, I thought I would go late. Then at 39 weeks 1 day, I went into work and told my boss I wouldn't be coming back. I couldn't take it anymore. I delivered 48 hours later. I am grateful that something in my mind made me stop working so I got to wrap up things at work and take a day off.
This time, I keep feeling like LO will be early. Time will tell, though!
I felt like DS was going to come on the early side. Not only that, but my stupid OB kept telling me that he was going to come early because he was sitting so low for so long (I also had Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction). I went into labor at 40w6d and those last 6 days were the longest of my life considering how I kept hearing this kid was coming before 40 weeks.
I say plan for 41-42 weeks and if baby decides to come earlier than that it's a nice surprise! If you keep thinking they will come early it will be quite the disappointment when they don't!

my read shelf:
oh yes, I thought that. Everyone around me said, she's coming any day now, you are so huge! So when 37 weeks came I was like... soon, soon...
when 42 weeks came and I still had no labor signs and had to be induced... well then I realized that hugeness and "intuition" were no indicators of going early.
Next time I will ASSUME i will go 42 weeks and anything sooner will just be a bonus.
With DD my contractions started at 34wks. Were stopped once and immediately returned. At 35wks my OB said they would no longer do anything to stop labor and to hope I make it a couple more weeks. Everyone thought I'd go early.
Well after SEVEN whole weeks of often timeable contractions, I was induced just shy of 41wks.
I will mentally prepare myself to go late this time (even if contractions start early) and be pleasantly surprised if I go early. Hopefully not before 37wks though because I'm planning a home birth and legally my MW can't deliver me before then.
Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!
I thought for sure my first would come late (I was 3 days late). My water broke at 37w5d and he was born the next day.
My second I thought for sure would come by the time my first did. NOPE! She came at 39w3d.
My third I knew was a special case. I just KNEW he was going to be a weird position. So I started researching breech stuff. At 18w, I figured out that he was posterior (confirmed on u/s a few weeks later and told I had an anterior placenta...babies like to face their placentas, hence the posterior presentation). He never switched. I prayed that he would be born early enough to fit with no problems, but late enough to be 100% ok. He was born at 35w6d after 4 days of labor.
My fourth I was thinking would probably be late. Not sure why, but I just though that. She was born at 39w3d like her sister. Not late, but much later than the boys.
This time I don't really have a feeling yet. I just have one date in mind that I'd like the baby not to come on (my bff had a supremely tragic loss that day last year), and I'm sure that'll be the day the baby comes.
With my first pregnancy I was absolutely convinced that he would be born two weeks early and everyone laughed at me.
I went into labor exactly two weeks early and he was born the next morning.
Trust your instincts but accept that things might be different.
