Any recommendations for a good sized duffel-type bag to pack for the hospital? I have a small duffel, but it's really only big enough for one night. I want something that I will get a good amount of use out of in the future too. I've never had a good bag for weekend trips. But, I also don't want to break the bank. TIA
Re: Recommend a bag to buy for hospital
But you could also just invest in a nice rolling carry on suitcase if you plan on flying a lot!

Any idea what size it is? There are several options on the Vera Bradley website and I have a hard time visualizing dimensions.
I just checked and it doesn't say but the measurements are about 22 inches long and 11 inches deep I had it nearby!

I bought one like this about a yr ago. I love it & use it for just about anything, They have sm, med, & lg depending on where you order from. I believe mine is med & it's big enough for both DH & I to pack for 1-2 nights or for myself for about 3-4 nights. They also have different colors & patterns available(mine is this one but with pink instead of yellow).
Thanks so much for measuring, that was nice of you!
I also use a Vera Bradley bag. I have the large duffel. I have mine packed and ready to go with room to spare. I'm having a c section, so I'll be there for several days. It is also machine washable, which I did after getting home from the hospita with my first pregnancy. Hospitals are germy places!
It is a great travel bag too. It's pretty light, holds a lot and is sized so it can be used as a carry on for flights. I get tons of use from it!
I love the L.L.Bean Adventure Duffle bags. A medium would be a good size for a weekend away. I have one that I've been using for years.
For my hospital bag, I used an L.L.Bean rolling backpack that I have also owned for a few years. It held everything I needed and a few things I never used. IMHO, if you need a full sized suitcase for your hospital bag, you've packed too much!
This. I used to travel 90% of the year for work. I never bring a travel bag that doesn't have wheels. Once a duffel bag is full, it will get very heavy and disorganized. I have several quality rolling suitcases from Marshall's that have been on lots of adventures with me and have held up well. Anything with boxy, sturdy sides is easier to keep organized than a soft bag with no structure to it.
