Has anyone tried this? Our pedi recommended it at DS' 18 month check-up and I'm just getting around to reading it. It says it's for children 2-12, but I'm wondering if I can start it with DS.
I haven't heard of it, but just looked it up at the library website and it sounds interesting. I might have to pick it up and read it. We definitely need some sort of guidance with discipline.

It's been a pretty easy read, so far. I find it really interesting. I Googled posts about it on the Bump and it's gotten some good feedback.
I just found out there is also a DVD. It's kind of pricey ($30), but my library actually has it. I'm going to check it out for DH, since he's better with DVDs/CDs than books.

When I was getting my MS in education, I went to a seminar given by the author, Dr. Phelan. I used it in my classroom and it worked pretty well (for kindergarteners). IMO, I think Ava is too young to understand the concept yet. I'll use it when she gets older, but right now I just do time-outs.

Thanks for the feedback! That's good to know it works for kids older than our LOs. I'm not sure if DS will understand it either.
