BF moms - when did AF return?

Hi ladies ~ I've been EBF'ing Pip for about 7 mos, then started weaning. She's been formula fed exclusively for the last 3 weeks and about 3 weeks prior to that she was down to only one morning and evening BF. So far, no sign of AF - my last one was April 2, 2011. I'm starting to get a little concerned. Trust me, I hate the evil biotch, but DH and I are considering another LO - and considering my AMA - starting the TTC process sooner rather than later is advisable.

All of this to ask...when did AF return for you? Did it return while you were still BF'ing? Were you weaning? TIA!

A few weeks ago she returned, which was about 3 - 4 weeks after G was down to morning and night nursing (and half-hearted, few minute sessions at that).

I was also starting to get worried (menopause, perhaps?) when she reared her ugly head again.

8.5 months. It was a few weeks after I went to solids twice a day.

With DS 2 weeks after I completely weaned (at 11.5 months) - on DS's 1st birthday.

I think...think is the operative word...that AF is returning now. Still waiting for her arrival but I feel the b*tch's arrival is imminent.

DD has only been BFing morning and night for about a month now and still no sign of her. I'm thinking I O'd last weekend, so she may be here in about a week. Right before K's 1st Bday

AF returned at 6.5 months for me. I BF 3-4 times a day (depending on how well DD sleeps at night) and pump at work 2-3 times a day.

She came back early for me... between 4-5 months. Exclusively BF but yeah I guess I'm just lucky... not! We're not trying again so naturally she came back early.

No AF here yet. We still BF usually 3 times a day, and I pump once while at work.

I'm one of the "lucky" ones... <insert eyeroll> ...AF came back at 2-3 months PP even though I am still EBFing and ds is almost 9 months.

About 13 months here. I was bfing and EPing and I weaned from the pump and was BFing once/day about a month before she showed up.

AF came back at 7 months when I switched from nursing three times a day to just two.

Returned at 5m PP while still EBF about 20 times a day...I have a boob addict.

My mom's returned earlyish as well, so there may be a genetic component at play.

An IRL friend didn't get hers until she weaned completely around a year.

People really vary with this.

I was EBF and still AF came back at 4.5 months(!). The changes beforehand were that LO started BFing less overnight and I went back to work. I have a friend who is 14 months and awaits AF... her DS still BFs overnight and she is SAHM. Still, I tend to go with the genetic aspect... my mom said hers returned at 5 months with both her children.

FX for TTC#2 for you! I'm six months away from that myself (got a couple in the freezer).
