Gift ideas for 1st birthday party for boy?

Hello-- I am looking for ideas for birthday gifts for a one-year-old baby boy... I have two different birthday parties to go to this weekend! Any ideas welcome- thanks!

    I'm a fan of the FP laugh and learn line. The mailbox, basketball hoop, vacuum, learning piggy bank.  If you would rather not do toys, board books, or sippy cups with straws.

    My DS got the Mega Bloks truck with some blocks in it (Target $10) and he LOVES it!  Board books are great, or the vtech read along books.

    Me too.  I love the My Pal Scout.  We usually program it for the birthday kid while it's still in the box, so it automatically says their name.

    i like the piggy bank idea a PP gave. Also, classic books might be nice. Or you could do a Thomas book with a conductor hat, we bought one for my son at Target in the party favor area for $2.  Super cute!
