I used to own birds when I was a teenager. I had a dove and a lovebird.
My family had 13 hamsters when I was growing up. Their names ranged from hamchimichanga to hamandcheesesandwich. Also the smallest one was named Runty.
And I currently don't have a favorite brunch location, but I love a well made breakfast sandwich with a real biscuit and real eggs, bacon or sausage and cheese.
Sometimes, I'm hilarious.

Tell me, would you/do you own a bird? If yes, what kind? No, never. I think they're kind of gross/dirty, and it's sad to keep a bird in a cage. No offense to bird owners, JMO.
What about a hamster? No. Ditto about being a little gross (and having to clean out the cage), but I can see how people get them for their kids. I'll stick to our dog
What is your favorite place to do brunch, or, if you don't have a particular favorite, what is your favorite brunch item? South Congress Cafe in Austin, TX (we don't live there any more but I daydream about it all the time). I had a lot of favorites - is it bad that my favorite was a drink and not food?
Pepper-infused vodka blood mary. OMG. So spicy and delish.
It's been my experience that people who don't like having birds for pets also don't like having hamsters and vice versa. I'm curious to see if anyone likes one but not the other. Or something vaguely sociologically profound.
Also, I think if it's served at brunch, then it can be your favorite!

I'm going to have to say no to the bird. I like watching the birds outside, do not like inside birds in cages.
I had 4 hamsters when I was a kid, over the same time that my brother had one. So again, no to hamsters, just because the ones that come my way seem to have a short life span. I'll stick with my cat!
Haven't found a favorite brunch spot in my new home (even though I've been here 3 years) but my DH makes THE BEST waffles!

I know! I feel like by the time I have LO, everyone is going to be off enjoying their own babies and I won't be able to AW my birth story at all!
Also, I love the two leash idea for walking the dog with young children and would have never thought of that.

I am personally not a fan of birds or hamsters. I find them both dirty and gross, and I think it's mean to cage a bird. Anplusalso, male hamsters eat their young, which totally freaks me out.
I love a good brunch - anywhere I can get eggs, bacon and really good hash browns is winner in my book.

Tell me, would you/do you own a bird? If yes, what kind? NOPE! I can't stand birds. My best friend in HS had birds and they were so annoying. And the day one of them flew at my head was the day I vowed to never own a bird as a pet.
What about a hamster? No. I'm just more of a dog and cat girl. I like taking my dog out for a walk and playing with her and getting cuddles from my cats.
What is your favorite place to do brunch, or, if you don't have a particular favorite, what is your favorite brunch item? We don't have a favorite brunch spot, but my sister's wedding shower was at a place with the most amazing brunch I've ever had. It's like a 40 min drive though, so it's not somewhere we'd go regularly. As for favorite brunch item, I love mimosas and Belgian waffles.

My inlaws have chickens and I love fresh eggs!

There is a definitely a taste difference between fresh eggs and ones from the store, I don't think I can ever go back! Plus they are entertaining to watch lol. I love having chickens!

LOL...I did have like 4 parakeets as a kid (at different times), but no, I would not have those these day or hamsters. Those birds woke me up every fricken day.
We don't really have "brunch" places here, but DH and I did spend one year trying out all the breakfast places in town. We based how good they are on their chicken fried steak (for me) and corned beef hash (for DH).
Actually... if we had the yard space I would change my bird answer from "no way" to "yes, chickens". My grandma had chickens, the eggs were always the best, and I enjoyed taking care of them when I was a kid.
we have so many great brunch places around but honestly, I love getting my friends together and doing it here, whether it's eggs and toast, French toast, waffles etc, we have a great time on Sunday mornings in my house! It's becoming tradition.
I've had hamsters but don't really want one I don't want to clean the cage.
I love quiche or French toast, now thanks to you I want to go out to breakfast and I can't because I'm on bed rest. Maybe we have stuff to make French toast.

What is your favorite place to do brunch, or, if you don't have a particular favorite, what is your favorite brunch item? its called Forever Young's, its not a brunch establishment but they have the best veggie skillet and cinnamon toast
No and no to the hamsters and the birds. IMO, they do not belong inside. Birds are lovely outside, and I don't want rodents in my house. At all. DH and I are "pet purists." :-P Dogs and cats only, and preferably only 1-2 pets total in the house.
As for brunch, we don't go out for brunch pretty much ever. Usually if we go out to breakfast, I get ham, eggs, and toast. If we did do brunch, I think I may opt for a Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. Yum.
Yeah that's how it is for us too. I'm glad our in-laws have the space. We have a large-ish backyard, but I don't think it would work out.

Having a pond on your property sounds wonderful. The closest thing we have is a giant drainage canal behind our property line. Ick!

Tell me, would you/do you own a bird? If yes, what kind? I had a bird when I was a kid...yellow parakeet named George. He got a huge tumor under his wing and died.
I wouldn't mind owning a bird again theoretically, but they're a lot of work and I prefer cuddlier pets. If I got one it'd have to be an African Grey parrot.
What about a hamster? Nope, never owned one. I've never particularly liked them.
What is your favorite place to do brunch, or, if you don't have a particular favorite, what is your favorite brunch item? What are we considering "brunch" here? I basically just love food...don't know that I have a favorite.
