High Blood Pressure

So on Tuesday this week I had my normal check up with my OB and turned out my blood pressure was up. So he had me go to the hospital and get monitored for awhile. I had some tests done to make sure it wasn't preeclampsia. Turns out the tests came back good and didn't show anything but I had to go back again Thursday for more monitoring. Again the same results but my blood pressure continued to stay high. My OB came in to assess and advised some things to look out for. 

This morning I have blurred vision, felt sick, headache and check my blood pressure from home and sure enough it was really high. Went back to the hospital and now I am on blood pressure medication. Monday morning I will have an ultrasound and by the end of next week my doctor said I will be induced. Making my baby an August baby. I'm happy that he's coming early. For my health and for my babies health. My mother had preeclampsia when she had my brother (her first too) and had a heart attack when she was 37 weeks. For safety reasons this is the best thing for baby and me.  

Anyone else experience anything similar?

    Glad to hear you're being monitored. If you scroll through the last week and a half's posts you'll see about 15 of us, including myself, just went through this/are going through it. Some have been induced and some of us are on bedrest but there's a bunch on here to read about if you're looking for info. GL.

    I'm in somewhat of a similar situation. Monday I went in and my blood pressure was a little high. They had me come back Thursday and it was still high but the doctor wasn't available to see me so I had to go back again today. I went in and it was really high so they sent me right to labor and delivery to be monitored. They monitored me for about an hour and every reading was perfect and the blood tests came back good. So now one week from my due date I am put on bedrest. Guess I won't be cleaning the house one last time before baby or finishing up everything at work that I wanted to get done. I have to go back Monday for another check and same my urine for 24 hours for them to test. Once those results come back they'll decide whether to induce making my baby a August baby or whether they will wait it out until my due date Sept 3rd.

    Yep I've also been going through this for the last few weeks. My blood pressure has stabilized since but I will be induced at 37 weeks if it goes back up. Do you mind sharing what your blood pressure numbers were? Mine were in the 160s/ high 90s range but then went down to 140s/80s this week. Good luck on the induction!

    I am in your same situation. I have high blood pressure but all urine and blood samples are normal for now. I'm on bed rest for now and it's just a waiting game. I go in twice a week for monitoring.

    I went in to L&D for spotting early in August and ended up getting put on bedrest for high BP (157/95)...24hr urine and blood tests all came back normal. Since then, they've had me go in for weekly NSTs at L&D, plus my normal doctors appts on different days of the week, and I've had two ultrasounds. BP seemed to steadily stay lower since, especially when at the doctor's office vs L&D, but it seems to vary. When I first got there today it was 147/82.........15 minutes later it was down to 111/60. Ah well, only a few more weeks to go. They've said if everything stays as it is, they won't be talking induction, which makes me happy.

    I have high blood pressure this pregnancy and am being induced Sunday night with cervadil hoping it works and I won't need 12h of pitocin this time!

    I have had high blood pressure for weeks, was but on labatalol, and finally started spilling protein at the beginning of this past week. That diagnoses me with pre-e, and I am getting induced on Sunday night at 37 weeks.

    Just make sure that if you start feeling sick -- with the headaches, blurry vision, and such that you go straight in.
