Water Breaking or Pee?

So I am eating dinner with the in-laws and I get up to go pee and I think I go a little. No big deal...I accidently pee myself when I sneeze, so getting up it can happen. Then I go pee and after wiping I stand up and more comes out.....well damn guess I didn't finish. So now I am wondering if maybe my water broke....I am not sure....my undies are damp so it is hard to tell. When I get home I have to pee again and decide to shower real fast....still having the issue of not peeing a little before I go pee and now I am worried that maybe my water is/has broken. I really don't want to go to l&d if it hasn't because I have had zero contractions and feel stupid for not knowing if my water broke or not. Also, do they charge you like the ER for false call visits to l&d?

What do you think....water breaking with no other labor signs or just me peeing myself which is nothing new?

    I was told if you can hold it, its urine. If you can't, your water broke.

    With my first, there was no mistaking it was my water. This time I thought I was peeing myself because it would only happen during a contraction. Eventually, it was big enough to puddle on the ground.

    I had to go to L&D twice during my pregnancy, and they charged me under prenatal care. I thought it was going to go under hospital stay, but it didn't because I was admitted. 

    If you aren't GBS+, you don't have to rush to L&D. If you aren't having contractions, they'll want to try and hurry thing once you are there. It might be better to go on a walk and see if contractions start or it becomes more obvious if it's your water.

    I can stop when I do go pee but I get random trickles walking around that catch me by surprise and are over before I can try to stop them on my own. My mom (who really has no medical background but has had 3 kids) thinks I probably just ate too much and have pressure on my bladder and I should wait until I have some contractions before going to the hospital. I guess I will just wait and see if I start contracting....we are only 10 mins. from the hospital so I guess I'm in no rush. I'd just go ahead to L&D but we JUST paid a $1000 hospital bill from when my husband had knee surgery and had heart issues and we made a late night ER visit in July.....Our insurance is pretty basic so I don't want to get hit with a huge bill for peeing myself.

    Smell your undies! If it smells like urine, it's pee, but if it smells slightly sweet, I've heard it's your waters.

    This exact same thing happened to me last week. I was convinced it was pee! No contractions at all and was 0cm two days before at the dr at 39w6d. Woke up Saturday and it was still happening. Called my dr and he told me to get checked. And. It was my water! Seriously, it was dribbles. That's it! By 6pm I was in pitocin and by 6am I was pushing! Go get it checked! You'll be glad.

    That's odd. My hospital likes to have babies delivered within 24 hours of rupture. My LO wasn't, so he was on a sepsis protocol. Which is basically they just check his vitals more often.

    Water breaking is different for everyone.  My cousin had her baby last week and her water breaking was a questionable leak for a day and half before she went in.

     My water breaking was unmistakeable.  I was supposed to be induced on Monday...but they were going to send me home after "ripening my cervix"  because my contractions weren't consistent and the L&D was super busy.  Well right before they released us, my water broke.  First it was just a small gush, but then it was consistent gushing for like an hr- disgusting feeling.

     If you are questioning it and you are this far along...I would call/get checked out.
