Yea, I was wondering if many ladies were frequenting the Maine board too! I'm not savvy on daycare costs because I plan on being home for a while, but hopefully we'll see others reply. I actually have a question about the hospital I'm going to. Do you know where you're delivering?
PS - Just for fun I'm 35w2d, living in central Maine and delivering at Mercy Hospital in Portland
I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow Yay!! Congrats to you I was born at Mercy! I'll be delivering at either Maine Med or Mercy, I am meeting with my nurse & doctor for the first time this month so I'll figure that out soon.
Not that I know much, but what's your question?

There's probably a HUGE range of daycare costs if you are just saying "Maine" - I live in the Portland area and for an infant am paying around $200/week for a daycare center that is a chain. You can pay about $30/day if you find a home daycare that works for you...
Congrats! It's hard to believe I'm so close to done....I remember 8 weeks! That's when my nausea set in, lol. I'm just wondering what the experience is like at Mercy, I've never known anyone who delivered there. Were they generous with supplies (pads, mesh undies, peri bottle, etc) or not so much? I'm trying to estimate how much I should bring with me to the hospital.
I delivered at Mercy almost 3 years ago and i LOVED it! They had everything I needed while I was in the hospital: pads, undies, peri bottle, hemmorhoid pads, etc. They actually use newborn diapers filled with ice instead of pads to help with the swelling. I got to bring whatever was left over home with me. The only thing they didn't supply was nursing pads if you are going to need them. Hope this helps:)
