normally i put it in a pan with olive oil and garlic but i'm looking for new ways to make it.
To my boys: I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
We steam ours and then serve it much like spinach. We also love to put vinegar and salt and pepper to taste over top.
I don't have the recipe on hand but we have also made kale chips. You rinse them off, put them on a cookie sheet, put a little salt over them and bake them at 350 for about 10 minutes in the oven.
Dh likes the zuppa toscana at Olive Garden, so we've made it ourselves a few times with kale. I don't care for it, but he loves it. I like to put kale in our smoothies. We juice veggies, then add frozen fruit and yogurt and a green. Usually kale or spinach.

Portuguese Kale soup.. Also known as Caldo Verde or Green Soup. Its amazing! Essentially its a combo of portuguese sausage(you can substitute with hot Italian sausage, reg. Italian sausage or the Spanish style if your area doesnt carry the Portuguese style *known as chorrico or linguica) Potatoes, usu. red kidney or white beans, sometimes macaroni, lots of kale, and chicken or beef stock... Most recipes at least have those items. Look it up on cooks.com or allrecipe... Its so delicious! I just made some 2 nights ago from kale in the garden and put it in the slow cooker for the day! mmmmmm...

My DH makes the best kale ever. I think it's a recipe he actually got from the food network - maybe Alton Brown.
Anyway, he cooks 3-4 strips of bacon in a pan. When the bacon is done, remove from pan and chop it into bite size pieces.
Cook the kale in the same pan in the leftover bacon grease, tossing occasionally until it's softer and dark green. Add the bacon bits to the kale and drizzle with honey. Mix it all together.
