Candace or Candice?

Are both acceptable?  I always thought Candace was the traditional spelling but I've come to know a couple of Candice's.  Not sure if it's on our list because I don't like the nn Candy, but I do like the given name.  Just wondering on the spelling....TIA

    I've only come across Candace, and I would not pronounce Candice this same way I pronounce Candace

    I have also cone across a Candice, but I think Candace is the traditional spelling.

    My name is Candace. People mispell is all the time! Mostly, people will spell it with a K not a C. All my family and friends call me Candy, but at work/school I go by Candace. Candy isn't my favorite name, only because people ask if I'm a stripper all the time or they assume I'm a bimbo.

    Candice looks like Jaundice to me. I love Candace, though.

    I'd go with Candace. Candice just seems like it is asking to be shortened to Candi with a heart dotting the i. ::shudder::

    don't worry about the candy/candi thing, just insist that she's called candice, not candy/candi.  people will get it.
