Some idiot lady asked me last night if I was pregnant. I mean, I am, but I'm not giving birth yet so you really shouldn't be asking me. After I said yes she said "Oh, I wasn't certain if it was a pregnant belly or just a belly." That doesn't make it any better...
Re: Dumb people
You should get a gold star for not punching her... unless you did, then you should get a gold star for helping her understand tact!
I think she just wants to hand out gold stars!!
Besides that, people are idiots! Sorry you are already dealing with them! I was doing some benefit stuff yesterday and the lady asked if I had any kids I said, No, but hopefully in March. **Blank stare** "How does that work" she asked I said well I'm pregnant now and due in March. She goes "OOohh I wasn't sure if you had one on order from the internet" WHAT!?!? Really lady??
It's a girl!
Ahh yes, it's so easy to order kids from the internet. I wonder why my friends on adoption wait lists didn't just think of this!
My husband wanted to ask her if she was pregnant as well. And he says he hopes I shed the baby weight quickly after #2 because if someone asks me in December of 2013 if I'm pregnant and we aren't I may knock them out.
I've actually been lying to people I don't know/won't see again in an effort to make them feel guilty. I'm 13 weeks today and starting to look a little chunky. I've been getting an embarrassed look on my face and saying "no, just too many cookies". I've done it about 3 times and each time the person has gotten embarrassed and said "oh, err.. sorry!"
Hubby got in on the action yesterday and gave me a hug after I said it and said "I think you're skinny and pretty"
Maybe we're mean but it's fun :-)
Baby #2 due 8/17/17
I love this, but I'm a little bit evil lol
Oh my gosh, that is seriously SO awesome!! I just don't get what is so wrong with people. WHY do they think it's ok to ask random strangers stuff like this?
I would have totally lied but she caught me off guard and the way she worded her question at first I thought she meant would you like to have another (She said "Oh he's so cute, are you having more?" while talking to DS and when I said Yes was when she busted into the "When are you due? Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's baby or just extra weight.") So I was completely taken aback.
But, we went to my old place of employment tonight. They all commented on how great I looked being 9 months PP and you could never guess I had an infant at home. Thanks ladies, I still like you.
