I had read about this on New york Times sometime ago. My DH was 35 when we conceived our son who is on ASD. But it is also interesting that DH's father was 42 when they had my DH. One day I hope they know what exactly causes Autism...I think this is a step in the right direction. Oh, and we are expecting our second child now and not to mention we are nervous!
I saw this in the NYT the other day. I think it's really interesting, and I'm glad to see that the study is well-regarded and that sound research methods were used.
FWIW I was 34 and my DH was 35 when DD1 was conceived (DD1 has SPD and we're currently in the process of getting her evaluated for ASD). I got married when I was 32, and we waited until we were financially stable before we had kids. I don't think that's anything to feel guilty about
