DD's Evaluation is scheduled

I got a phone call today from the place that does the evaluations and they are not able to get her in until October 2nd. I'm kinda bummed that it's not sooner but I am hoping that she really starts talking more so I won't have to take her. It's not that I don't want to take her but I would rather not have to.

    Yes, good luck!  Maybe there are some exercises you can do now...didn't someone just post about what the speech therapist told them to do on their own?  Maybe you can start that now just to get a leg up before the eval.

    Good luck with everything!

    I think it's a great idea to at least set the appointment. When we brought DS in this week, he tested "normal" but speaking to the therapist we got a lot of new ideas and encouragement to work with him, which we wouldn't have gotten if we'd not gone. Hope your expereience is good and helpful as well! :)

    I totally feel ya. When we were getting DS evaluation and checked out by the developmental pedi in April, the soonest date they could give us was November...7 months away!!! WTH. So I was put on a cancellation list and luckily they called a few weeks later. Hopefully that's an option too?

    I know how tough this is...I'm sorry! I hope she starts showing improvement soon!
