Eeek! Weird (and totally NBR)

Ok, I have to freak out for a second and have no one to do it to, so I'm going to do it to you guys. I just got asked out. Sooo weird and definitely not prepared for this!

The seasonal landscape guy at my apartment complex just asked me out, and it was soooo weird! I haven't gone on a date with anyone other than H in about 10 years! He fixed something outside my apartment the first day I moved in, and I see him just about every day, making small talk in the parking lot/office/etc. Today, I took M to the pool and he came out and sat and chatted with us for quite awhile, finally at the end asking me if I'd be interested in getting together with him sometime. I kind of just smiled, said I wasn't sure, that I enjoyed talking to him but wasn't sure I was headed in that route quite yet, and we left it at that. He ended his shift, ran home, grabbed his suit and was heading back to the pool when M and I were headed home.

GAH!

I imagine that would be really weird though. From what you said I think you handled it great though. Now for the important question- is he cute? lol

Haha... he is, kind of in a dorky way, but that's usually my style. He is older than me (like 9 years older) which can be a pretty big difference, and he has two kids in middle school who he has full custody of. It already sounds overwhelming!

It was kind of exciting, but at the same time, things are definitely not resolved with H, and I have no idea what the year ahead of us looks like.

It's good that you know what your limits and comfort level are right now. I know some people would just say "Eh, what the heck. Why not?", which would lead to more problems in the long run. At this point, take it as a complment and know you're a hot mama Big Smile

But I think your answer was a really good one. That would be a lot to take on when things are so unresolved between you and your H. You are a wise one, Nicole

In my perfect world, H and I would fix everything magically and live happily ever after. And, I'd never have to think about dating ever again!

Ah, I know you have that if you had it in your power to make it so. But you stayed near him to at least give your family the chance. I really hope and prayer that it does. That was really nice to be asked out though!
