1st bday party ideas

I'm drawing a blank when it comes to birthday party themes for the girls birthday. We are doing a Sun afternoon party next month. We are having a big crowd of family and friends but people of all ages, not as many kids as adults.  I can't even get started without a theme so does anyone have any inspiration on 1st bday party for two girls?  Should be easy right?

Any etsy sellers I could just buy a whole package from? Any blog links that I could copy?

    Some great idea pininterest.  Weare going to do an Elmo theme and I found some cute ideas there.

    catchmyparty.com has some great ideas with photos.

    I've never been too into the themed plates/etc. that just get tossed and go more with colors and decorations.  For their first birthday we did a Noah's Ark/animal type theme.  I don't even remember the details, is that bad?

    This year for their 3rd we did a Dr. Seuss theme.  There were tons of cute ideas out there on the web.  Some of the decorations I got from the $1 section of Target and some from the teacher's section at Michael's (five foot cutout of the cat in the hat for $10).  The kids each wore a Thing 1/Thing 2 shirt and the food all had a theme (etsy has printables for food labels, etsy).  I set around their Dr. Seuss books for decoration and did red/aqua tablecloths.  Pretty easy and very fun.

    Also, Walmart has some cute decorations and favor section.  Happy party planning!

    About me  2007: Started TTC. 2008: OB prescribed clomid, went to RE and was Dx with PCOS. 2009: IUI #1 w/follitsim and trigger = BFP. B/G Twins born at 33 weeks. 2012: TTC #3, Round 2 of Letrozole w/TI = BFP, missed m/c at 8 1/2 wks. Currently on the bench as we make plans for a new home. Anxious to start TTC #3 within the next year!

    We're doing a "Double Scoop" theme and I found all my ideas online/blogs/pinterest!  Icecream bar is really the extent of it!

    So I really wanted to do a milk and cookies theme - I've found tons of adorable ideas for that but DH feels like we're having too many adults and we have to more than just milk and cookies - do you think we could do a milk and cookie bar and still have other non theme related food?

    For sure.  Not everything has to match.  I think milk and cookies sounds like a great idea!

    you could totally do a milk and cookies theme and sitll have other foods.

    we did "sugar and spice" for the girls 1st party theme with super big lollipops for decorations..and we.ordered super yummy bbq and had big cakes from a local italian bakery...it was fab!
